This Week in Religious Education – January 10th

For the Faith Development for children and youth this Sunday:
Children’s Chapel – for in children in Kindergarten through 6th grade. We will meet in the Kindergarten-3rd Grade Room next to the dining room. Children can come directly there as they arrive for the morning. We’ll start with a brief, child-friendly worship with a chalice lighting and Joys and Sorrows. We’ll talk about starting the New Year and Leah Purcell’s resolution to use a worm bin to compost kitchen scraps. And we’ll make one there! Leah is leading the chapel, with assistance from Alison DuBray. We need one more adult to help children with activities. Contact Leah Purcell at dlre@uuschenectady.org if you’re interested.
No Coming of Age is not meeting this week.
Any youth, grades 8-12 is welcome to join the Children’s Chapel and help out.
Leah P. is looking for one or two volunteers to join the team working with our 7th/8thgraders. The plan is to start Jan 29th with a session on responding to the Open Questions. The commitment is about 2 Sunday mornings a month. Contact Leah at dlre@uuschenectady.org if you’re interested.
