There will be regular sessions of RE this week for all the groups – K-3rdgrade; 4th-6th grade; and Coming of Age. And the Nursery will be open too.
For December 11th, I’d like to plan a holiday crafts workshop for RE, but I need volunteers to make it happen.
Here’s the plan:
- After the story for all ages, the children and youth will go to one of two groups for holiday themed craft making . Children in pre-k through 6th grade will meet in the Pre-k – 3rd grade room, and youth in 7th grade through 11th grade will meet in the dining room. And we’ll have wrapping paper for them to wrap their crafts as gifts if they like. We might also play some games. It will be fun!
- For volunteers, it would be great to have one teacher from each class volunteer. I’m also looking for a couple of people who have worked at the Homemade Holidays event in the past to help me plan crafts and to also help the children with crafts on Dec 11th.

The UUSS Nursery: Childcare for children 5 and under is available from 10-12 on Sundays!
We still have some paid nursery staff positions available. If you know someone 18 or older who is fabulous with children and might welcome sharing some Sunday mornings with wonderful little ones, please contact me at dlre@uuschenectady.org or Rev. Lynn Gardner at revlynn@uuschenectady.org.
