June often brings a season of many celebrations-weddings, graduations, end of the school year, the start of summer, Father’s Day, Flag Day, Juneteenth, and more! We also celebrate two distinctly UU traditions with Bridging (June 1) and the Flower Ceremony (June 8). A verse from one of our favorite songs from one of our favorite folk duos-Emma’s Revolution- goes “On this journey through thoughts and feelings, binding intuition, my head, my heart we are gathering the tools together, I’m preparing to do my part. All of those who have come before me band together and be my guide, loving lessons that I will follow, we’re all swimming to the other side.” Whether we are facing challenges, celebrating the chalice at the center of community, or marking the changes that happen with the passage of time, we are stronger together.
