Sunday 10/1 in Religious Education

We’ll have regular sessions of Religious Education (RE)

  • Everyone, except the 8th/9th grade OWL participants will gather in for the first part of the service in the Great Hall.
  • After the blessing, the elementary aged children will go to their classrooms: the 4th-7th graders (the Windows and Mirrors Group) meet on the second floor of Waters House, and the K-3rd grade group (the Favorite UU Stories Group) meet in the room next to the Nursery.
  • The 8th/9th grade OWL class starts at 10:30. They meet in the basement classroom of the main building, which is accessed by the walkway on the north side of the building.
  • Please go to your child’s room at about 11:45 to pick them up.
  • Plans for high school youth group this week are in the works. Parents/caretakers, watch your email for a message from Leah Purcell on Thursday, or email her at dlre@uuschenectady.org

Registration is required for children and youth who attend nursery through youth in 12th grade. click here to enroll your children in RE, if you haven’t already.

Hurray! We have enough volunteers to run our RE program for children in k-9th grade 9!

BUT we’ll need more help to support programming for children and youth, starting with the multi-aged Children’s Chapel on the Sunday of  Indigenous People’s Day weekend, October 8th. Contact Leah at dlre@uuschenectady.org if you can help plan and assist with this.
