Give Thanks for Beauty — Flower Celebration

As this fiscal year begins to wind down, we’ll celebrate our congregation, our Religious Education (RE) teachers and other volunteers, and share in the flower celebration ritual in a multigenerational service. Rev. Capek and his wife Maya shared with the U.S. a simple yet profound ritual – that each would bring flowers from one’s yard, a community meadow, a neighbor’s (with permission), and/or a farm stand/store/florist. We each bring them and place them together. Later in the service, we receive a different flower than the one(s) we brought. UUSS is a community where all can contribute, and all can receive. Please bring a flower or two or a small bouquet to share.
