Religious Education this Sunday, Oct 22

We’ll have regular sessions of RE for grades K-7 and 7/8 OWL. Senior High Youth does not meet this week

Everyone in grades K-7 will gather in for the first part of the service in the Great Hall.

  • After the story in the service, the elementary aged children will go to their classrooms: the 4th-7th graders (the Windows and Mirrors Group) meet on the second floor of Waters House, and the kindergarten-3rd  grade group (the Favorite UU Stories Group) meets in the room next to the Nursery.
  • Please go to your child’s room at about 11:45 to pick them up.
  • The 8th/9th grade OWL meets in their room in the basement from 10:30 – noon
  • The high school youth group are invited to stay for the service.
  • The nursery is open for children under age 5 at 10:15

Next week, October 29th: Multigenerational worship – No OWL or Youth Group. Immediately following the worship service, the Music Team will host SingNSnack, a sing-along opportunity in the Great Hall, with refreshments in the Dining Room after the singing. Costumes are welcome.

Registration is required for children and youth who attend nursery through youth in 12th grade. Click here to enroll your children in RE, if you haven’t already.

We are hiring a “Floating” RE teacher to work every Sunday and serve as a sub or extra hand wherever they are needed. Here’s the description. Please pass this along to anyone who you think would be interested or talk to Leah Purcell at dlre@schenectadyuu.org.
