Religious Education: the Waters House library grows!

Lifelong Learning!

The library at Waters House continues to grow–with books for all ages and interests! Our newest acquisitions? How about Barakah Beats by Maleeha Siddiqui, a middle grade novel about a hijab-wearing twelve-year-old who joins a band, risking her Muslim parents’ disapproval? Or could we interest you in an award-winning coming of age tale that fits well with Pride Month and is going to be talked about in the next BIPOC Book Group Discussion? Come borrow The Map of Salt and Stars by Zeyn Joukhadar; it’s about two girls living eight hundred years apart and is said to be to Syria what The Kite Runner was to Afghanistan. We also have quite the range of nonfiction books, be it information or inspiration you’re looking for. Wherever your interests in your lifelong learning quest lie, the Waters House Library just might have something for you. Email HB at dlre at uuschenectady.org to set up a visit.
