Some important reminders from the Music Team in preparation for this amazing event on Feb. 2:
1. SCHEDULE: We suggest arriving a bit early for worship on Feb. 2 so that you can check out & start bidding on some fabulous desserts. Here’s the day’s schedule:
10:00 AM Bidding opens for the silent auction Just Desserts
10:29 AM Bidding temporarily closes
10:30 AM Worship
When worship ends, bidding re-opens and the Coming of Age spaghetti lunch begins in the Dining Room.
11:50 AM Children/Youth R.E. classes transition
12:10 PM Free dessert in the Great Hall while you bid
12:30 PM Bidding ends & desserts are boxed up
12:35 PM Cabaret acts begin. The show will last approximately an hour, after which highest bidders can collect their desserts.
2. COSTUMES: Everyone is welcome to wear a hero costume or symbol on Feb. 2. We will be learning about “Everyday Heros” during worship. Maybe you want to wear a fancy lace collar like the Notorious RBG (Google it) or pigtails like Greta Thunberg?? Plus lots of kids already have superhero costumes at home. Let’s add to the fun for all ages!
3. MONEY: There is no admission price for the Cabaret itself, but we will pass the basket for your good will offering between the acts. All the money raised through the Cabaret & Just Desserts Auction will go toward the congregation’s operating budget. Help us reach our fundraising goal and operational needs with your generous bidding and/or contributing when the basket comes to you.
