As part curricula for the faith development of children and youth next year, we are working to offer the year-long Our Whole Lives (OWL) program at the 8th /9th grade level, and the 9 week programs of K/1 and 5th /6th grade OWL in the spring. This age-appropriate, comprehensive, values based sexuality education program is a hallmark of UU congregations.

And OWL recognizes that the need for sexuality education does not end in the teen years. From the UUA website: “Honest, accurate information about sexuality changes lives. It dismantles stereotypes and assumptions, builds self-acceptance and self-esteem, fosters healthy relationships, improves decision making, and has the potential to save lives.” There are OWL programs for young adults, adults and older adults.
