March Theme: Sustenance & Sustainability

Capitalism says go-go-go at all costs. And the Earth is bearing the brunt of such foolishness. Rest and restoration are deeply important for our well-being. Dormancy and ebullience are a part of the seasons in nature and we are part of nature so we need times of action and reflection; of doing and resting; of starting and ending (projects, committees, teams, relationships, habits, etc) Capitalism also focuses on the individual whereas this religious tradition is evolving more towards beloved community. In this season of stewardship where we make a pledge to support and sustain this religious community, how might our generosity spark the Joy of UUSS?
