A book of short stories, The Secret Lives of Church Ladies has won the PEN/Faulkner Award, the $20,000 Story Prize, and the L.A. Times Award for First Fiction and was a National Book Award finalist. The collection of short stories is also the March selection for the Baltimore County Public Library’s Anti Racism Book Discussion.
