The Long Strange Trip UU history course will be offered in multiplatform mode (in person or Zoom) starting Thursday, October 20 for six weeks (skipping Thanksgiving) ending December 1st. Learn about the inspirational stories of 500 years of courageous and prophetic UU ancestors who devoted their lives to the quest for religious freedom and social justice. This six-week course will cover UU history from the early Christian tradition to the present time, tracing our roots in the Protestant Reformation in Europe to the founding fathers in America, the Civil War, evolution, transcendentalism, humanism and finally our current liberal religion based on covenant. Classes will be held from 7-9 pm and consist of a video presentation followed by time for discussion. Sign up using the following link: https://uuschenectady.breezechms.com/form/a79dc09754161881967. Participants are urged to sign up early for planning purposes. Any questions: contact Ernie Hall at hallel1254@gmail.com.
