Green Energy Workshop

Green Energy Workshop on Sunday, April 28th

This Earth Month, connect with other UU Schenectady community members and get support for taking personal climate actions!  On Sunday, April 28th from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Dining Room, Green Sanctuary will be hosting a Green Energy Workshop.

We’ll connect with our environmental values, explore our current carbon impact, and demystify the options for greening your home and commute, including heat pumps, induction stoves, insulation, renewable electricity, community solar, electric vehicles, and cycling and transit-friendly routes. We’ll also provide information about new government funding that can make green improvements more affordable for both homeowners and renters. Everyone’s best-fit climate actions are different – this workshop can help identify the options right for you.

And, if you’ve already taken steps to improve your personal carbon footprint, come to share your story and inspire other members! Talking about our actions increases our impact, and taking achievable personal climate actions strengthens our effectiveness as climate justice advocates. We hope you’ll join us!
