When we dare to try something new or share a part of ourselves that not everyone knows, it can feel risky, even tender. Being on a spiritual path, i.e. on a free and responsible search for truth and meaning, can too. This month, we’ll explore the journey and the values of justice and equity as practiced in our religious tradition, while listening for the still, small voice deep inside each of us.

Let us be gentle and kind with one another and with ourselves, too. Let us cultivate the courage to keep our hearts wide open even when the waves want to push us around. May vision, justice, and mercy be our guides as we make our way into this tender day. And may our faith bring us back to solid ground.
