Philosophy Discussion Group

The UU Schenectady Philosophy Group NEXT meets online Wednesday, October 9 th from 10:00 am until 12 noon.

Michael Seaman will facilitate a conversation on the following chapters of The Outlaw John Locke & why liberalism is worth fighting for:
Chapter 12 – The End of History
Chapter 13 – Burning the Book Sellers: Religious freedom and the secular state
Chapter 14 – The Way West, Individualism, and the marginal revolution
Chapter 15 – Thoughts on undemocratic representation.

Books we have read delve into the ideas and the written word about – knowledge, truth, reality, reason, ethics, and government. NO prior knowledge of philosophy is needed to participate.
