The UUSS Green Sanctuary team is hosting a seasonal LOCAVORE LUNCH this Sunday, October 4, after the service, in the UUSS Dining Room. This is a delicious annual celebration of our congregation’s commitment to the Earth with local foods!

And, this year, we are collaborating with the UU the Vote Team, because protecting democracy is vital to protect our planet–so we will write UU the Vote postcards as we enjoy our lunch.

Green Sanctuary makes several soups and some main dishes, but to feed everyone it helps if you can bring a side dish or dessert. We hope you’ll use local ingredients if you can, but all dishes are appreciated! Please include a list of the ingredients with your contribution. There are a number of people with food allergies and sensitivities.

Also, we need and deeply appreciate volunteers to help serve and clean up, whether or not you can cook! Serving food is an easy way to volunteer, and many hands make light work to clean up all those dishes–and being in the kitchen is a great way to connect in community.
