Field Trip to the Albany Pine Bush (EBWA’s June program)

June 12, 2025 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

presenter: Jackie Citriniti, Lead Educator, Albany Pine Bush Preserve, and member of UUSS
(Bring your own bag supper and lawn chair for an informal picnic after the tour.)

Join us on June 12th at 5 pm for a visit to the Albany Pine Bush, one of the best remaining examples of an inland pine barrens environment in the world. Jackie Citriniti will lead us on a tour of the exhibits inside the Discovery Center and then, weather permitting, on a short walk around the accessible loop in the Preserve or to the overlook. We will then gather for a brown bag supper and networking, either inside the building or outside on our lawn chairs.

Please note: The program will be held rain or shine!

Jackie has been an enthusiastic environmental educator for more than 30 years. She has worked at the Albany Pine Bush for the past 18 years and has also worked at Five Rivers in Delmar and Moreau State Park. — All who identify as women are welcome to join us as we visit this unique education center and explore the Preserve.

The Pine Bush Preserve is located at 195 New Karner Road, Albany. While there is ample parking, if you would like to carpool, please inform Peg Reich at pegreich1@gmail.com or 518-530-2111 by noon on June 12 th. We will meet in the church parking lot at 4:15 and leave no later than 4:30.

There is no charge for this program for EBWA sponsors; we will collect $5 from all others who attend.

We are working on the programs for the 2025-26 church year, and will post the list in September.
