EBWA January Program: Welcome to the Arkell Museum!
January 23 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Speaker: Mary Alexander, Curator of Education & Public Engagement
The Arkell is a lesser known gem of a museum west of Schenectady in Canajoharie. Mary Alexander, Curator of Education and Public Engagement, will give us a virtual tour and discuss the museum’s permanent collection of American Art including Winslow Homer, George Inness, Childe Hassam, and many other important artists. — All are invited to join us on Zoom to learn about this treasure of a museum that is almost in our backyard!
While we plan to resume in-person meetings in March, we will meet on Zoom in January and February. If you already receive EBWA announcements from Judy Clough, you will automatically be sent the zoom invitation and do not need to request one. If you do not usually get EBWA email announcements, please email Judy Clough by Tuesday, January 21 to receive an invitation to join the program on Zoom.
Sign into the meeting between 6:50 and 7:00pm. Following the presentation, there will a time for questions. Networking (when each attendee may share something of interest with the group) will begin around 8:15. The meeting will end no later than 9pm. There is no charge for EBWA programs offered on Zoom, but in order for us to be able to pay our speakers an honorarium, we need your help. Please consider subscribing by sending a $30 check made out to EBWA to Carol Furman (contact Carol Furman to learn where to send your check).
(Note: this month the program will be held on Zoom only)
