For the April discussion, we’re reading the play Fires in the Mirror, by Anna Deavere Smith. The play was first performed as a world premiere at the NY Shakespeare Festival in 1992. In the genre of verbatim theatre, the play focuses on the 1991 Crown Heights riots in NYC.
