Celebrate being a 2024 Good Trouble Congregation!

January 28 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Whether you wrote 5 postcards or 500 to combat voter suppression, sent 100 or 1,000 texts for reproductive freedom, or painted and placed rocks to encourage our neighbors to vote, the collective actions of our UU congregations demonstrate our commitment to building a democracy rooted in justice and liberation.

As we enter this new presidential term, we have many reasons to feel disappointed and afraid, but our faith calls on us to be hopeful. As the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. preached in a sermon in 1962/63, “[W]e must accept the finite disappointment, but in spite of this we must maintain the infinite hope. This is the only way that we will be able to live without the fatigue of bitterness and the drain of resentment.

Let’s gather together in hope, and in revolutionary joy, for joy is an act of resistance. We’ll keep getting into “good trouble, necessary trouble, and redeem the soul of America.”– John Lewis, March 1, 2020.

Contact Kendra Sena to RSVP, and feel free to bring a dish to share, or just bring yourself!
