What do you need in this moment? What do others need in this moment? What do we need for the long haul? Being in a congregation includes increasing our awareness of what our needs are, noticing what other’s needs are, and being with the complexity when those needs are not the same or may not be the same in a particular moment.
What we are trying to do as a faith community is not easy. We do not require that everyone believe or want or need the same thing. We do invite all of us to listen, to recognize what is true for us, and realize that it may be differently true for others. Rather than conformity, we invite presence, awareness, and curiosity. One of our hymns reminds us- “Let it be a dance, we do. May I have this dance with you? Through the good times and the bad times too, let it be a dance.” We are so grateful to get to have this dance with you.
This weekend, we are so excited that Joe Jencks will be sharing his music and wisdom with all of you as we are away celebrating our wedding anniversary.
With Love at the center,
