Co-Ministers’ Colloquy – Oct 3rd

Sometimes we can offer a warm welcome and a place to belong, and it will just be needed for a little bit. This past Sunday, as our service centered on creating a bolder welcome, a family visited for the first time. They were traveling, and the couple with two young kids had come from Sweden, and were looking for a place to attend worship. They appreciated the welcome they received, and found meaning in the words, music, meditation, and message of the service. They likely won’t be back, and that is ok. Their Sunday at UUSS is now part of their larger journey. What a lovely thing, that we, and they, were able to share a morning together.

Every Sunday there are folks who are visiting for the first time, attending online or in person with people who have been part of the congregation for a year or two, and those who are longtime members. Thank you, for the many ways that you welcome one another. If you haven’t attended in a while and you are missing your spiritual home, this Fall is a great time to reconnect. There are lots of ways to participate, and when you show up, it can make a difference.

We hope to see you at Wonderful Wednesdays-see more below!

With anticipation and in faith~
