Co-Ministers’ Colloquy – March 3rd

Dear UU Schenectady~
This past week we have been grateful to share some time with our daughter and extended family in California, hiking in Yosemite and attending our niece’s wedding in Santa Cruz. Rituals and rites of passage are important to us, and part of what drew us into ministry. It was a gift to be present on this special day, celebrating love and commitment.
Our trip also included a visit to Starr King School for the Ministry, which will be moving from the building where we attended in Berkeley, to a new location at Mill’s College campus in Oakland. Saying goodbye and acknowledging transitions is a valuable practice for us, and it was meaningful to visit the school, and favorite nearby spots overlooking the bay.
And, today, it is good to be home. We are returning our attention and energy to this life we have chosen, and to the curious blend of teaching, administration, pastoral care, communication, prophetic witness, worship arts, community service, spiritual practice, and institution leading that is congregational ministry. We hope to see you soon.
