Co-Ministers’ Colloquy – June 14th

A year of living,
so much blooming or in bud
We give thanks this day.
We give thanks to our high school Bridgers, Duncan and Blake and their families who led a moving service last Sunday. We give thanks to everyone who enjoyed the flowers of the Flower Ceremony, now 99 years old since Rev. Čapek first created it. We give thanks to everyone who volunteered with our children and youth for religious education classes and activities.
We give thanks to the Board, the Advisory Committees, and the Ministry Teams who have contributed to the congregation thriving. We give thanks to the Staff who work hard to support the mission of the congregation. We give thanks to those who help, those who ask for help, those who pledge, those who contribute, those who request a waiver when they are unable to make a pledge. We give thanks to everyone who has stayed present to the congregation through a very challenging time. We give thanks to those who are making their way back and to those new folks who have found their way to UUSS.
We give thanks to those who show up, who bring your hearts and your questions to this faith for the congregation depends on people who show up.
We give thanks to you for reading. We give thanks to the ancestors. We give thanks for the Love that holds us all.
Blessings on graduations! Blessings on the delegates who will attend General Assembly in some capacity as we forge an anti-racist faith together!
