Co-Ministers’ Colloquy – February 12th

Dear ones of UU Schenectady~

The storm is beginning as we write, and meetings and programs have been cancelled for the rest of Tuesday, and for Wednesday morning. We will decide, tomorrow, about Wednesday evening programs. This was communicated with each group who was on the calendar, and has been posted on the website. We prioritize the safety of staff, congregants, and all program participants. We are grateful to the staff and volunteers of Joseph’s House and other shelters, who provide support with care and respect for those who are most vulnerable, especially in inclement weather. We know some of you had to go in to work and school today. We hope you make it safely home. We know some of you had an important appointment or meeting in the wider community and that you may be feeling some disappointment that it isn’t happening. We ourselves are wondering if we will have a chance to attend a concert tonight that we have been looking forward to.

During our visit to the Glen Eddy yesterday, we were reminded that medical procedures that are scheduled and then cancelled due to weather can make an already challenging situation worse. May all who want a warm place to be tonight, have one. May all who hunger, be fed. May the folks who drive the plows and salt trucks, the ambulance drivers and other first responders make their way with ease during this storm.

In faith~ Rev. Lynn and Rev. Wendy
