Co-Ministers’ Colloquy – Dec 8th

Dear UUSS~
In the check-in time in some of our Team meetings, we’ve asked what people appreciate about the dark, or an activity that they look forward to as the nights are longer. There have been some wonderful responses, many about enjoying the quiet, or a cozy fire, or the night sky in winter, or being outside at night during a soft snow.
As Shelley Jackson-Denham wrote in her hymn,
Dark of Winter:
Dark of winter, soft and still, your quiet calm surrounds me.
Let my thoughts go where they will, ease my mind profoundly.
And then my soul will sing a song, a blessed song of love eternal.
Gentle darkness, soft and still, bring your quiet to me.
May you find such moments of calm, ease, quiet, and love,
~ Rev. Lynn and Rev. Wendy
