Co-Ministers’ Colloquy – August 18th

Hello, dear ones~
In just about every recent conversation or meeting with folks from UUSS, one word has come up over and over again: connection. From the Board to the staff to the Caring Team, from the chair of Stewardship to teachers in Religious Education, we are all wanting to find ways to have folks in the congregation stay connected, or to get connected if you have recently begun participating. There are already lots of ideas in the works to help this happen. And, no matter what is changed within our programs, no matter what we do as staff, we can’t make connections happen. We can only create opportunities for folks to connect, and hope that people participate. And, if you are reading this, you have the power to be part of “the glue” that holds UUSS together. We are asking that everyone who reads Circuits send an email, or pick up the phone and call or text someone from the congregation. Let them know that you are thinking of them, and that you are glad that they are part of the congregation, or that you miss them, or that you hope to see them at worship. One email. One text or call or Facebook message. You might even drop a note in the mail if you want to support the postal service, too! We hope you have a wonderful week, and that the connections you make and choose to strengthen bring a little more compassion and joy!
In faith~
