The November read for the BIPOC Authors Discussion Group is The Berry Pickers, by Amanda Peters. In this 2023 text, Peters draws on her Mi’kmaq and European ancestry to explore family trauma, unresolved grief, identity, racism, and the systemic erasure of Indigenous identity.

Date of the book group’s November zoom discussion about this book TBA.

Looking ahead to the December discussion, the group will read Night Sky With Exit Wounds, a book of Poetry  by Asian author Ocean Vuong.
