Rev. Cathy Rion-Starr, clergy, music professionals and choir members from the UU congregations of Albany, Catskills, Glens Falls, Saratoga Springs, & Schenectady
Julian of Norwich famously said “All will be well and all will be well and all manner of things will be well.” But how is that possible when there is so much oppression, suffering, and violence all around us? In this age of encroaching fascism, we need to build our practices of resilience and joy amidst grief, anger, and despair. Come sing, pray, play, and reckon together! Today’s offering will go to Side With Love.

Following the service, all are invited to a finger-food potluck social hour, and a workshop at 12:15 Undermining Pillars of Support: 4th Amendment Wedge Strategy, to resist fascism and ICE!
Activities will be provided for kids 5-12 yrs, and childcare will be available in the nursery for younger kids. There will be a finger-food potluck after the worship service.
Workshop 12:15 pm — Undermining Pillars of Support: 4th Amendment Wedge Strategy
How do we prevent an authoritarian administration from becoming full-on fascism? In this workshop we’ll:
- review ways to undermine Pillars of Support and practice strategic non-cooperation,
- explore how UUs can help grow networks of 4th Amendment Workplaces to help employers and workers understand their rights if ICE arrives,
- provide training and materials to recruit local businesses in this work and build relationship within your congregation and community.
A movie will be offered for kids to watch during the workshop.
