Many of us have heard a chant common at recent protest marches, “Show me what democracy looks like. This is what democracy looks like.” On this weekend of “No Kings” protests come join us as we explore “What church looks like.” We will explore the outward and inward meaning and essence of our beloved UUSS. Spoiler alert: Any conclusions will be incomplete, partial, and aspirational. In this, the 125th year of our congregation let us venture to reflect on what makes UUSS both common (in a good way) and special. Let us reflect on the ways, both big and small, that UUSS inspires, fortifies, supports, guides, comforts and challenges us.
