At this past Sunday’s Social Justice Action Team event, participants were invited to share some of the things that they have been doing as part of resistance to the harmful policies and actions of the current administration. There were about 40 attendees, and everyone seemed to have something to share. It was a wonderful example of the truth that none of us are in this alone, that no one can do everything, and that we can each do something.
If you aren’t sure what your part might be in social change, we encourage you to attend Saturday’s program with the Survive and Thrive Team. (More info HERE)
And, we know that joy is an act of resistance! So, we hope that you get to do something that brings you joy this week. Maybe you have playful or spooky Halloween plans… maybe you will take a walk or roll and soak in the beautiful Fall colors. Maybe you will connect with someone else from UUSS, and share a lovely conversation. Maybe you or someone in your family is in the process of applying to college, and you will celebrate when you complete the applications by this week’s deadline!
And if joy is hard to find right now, know that we are here. Please reach out. In solidarity, and with gratitude~ Rev. Lynn and Rev. Wendy
