Things Aren’t Always What They Seem (Alliance program for March)
March 27 @ 11:45 am - 2:30 pm
Speaker: Christie Keegan, story teller
And now for something completely different! EBWA’s March meeting will be on the last Thursday of the month, as usual, but at noon, with the Daytime Alliance! With lunch! — Our speaker will be Christie Keegan who will tell us stories about her interactions with folks experiencing homelessness. We will also hear about unexpected victims of domestic violence and others who have taught Christie over the years that she doesn’t really know as much as she thought she did. She’s been telling personal stories for more than thirty years and is known for her “light touch with difficult subjects.”
There will be time for networking after the presentation and questions. All are welcome to join us.
Lunch at noon is $20 ($15 for EBWA sponsors), payable in cash or check at the door. Please RSVP so we have a head count for Gershon’s, by emailing Gabrielle Reals at ellegr3@gmail.com by noon on March 25 (and specify if you’d like a gluten free meal).
Looking ahead: On April 24 EBWA will return to our usual meeting time, 7-9pm, in person at the church. Zoe Auerbach will speak to us about CHIME, a program of the Empire State Youth Orchestra encouraging students in Schenectady City Schools to play music.
