Green Sanctuary invites you to a picnic and walk in Thatcher Park on Saturday, June 15. We will meet at 11:00am outdoors at the Nature Center (large wooden park building with exhibits). Thatcher Park is on state route 157 south of Albany in Voorheesville. It is about a 40 minute drive from Schenectady. After lunch we will walk the Indian Ladder trail, which has quite a few stairs. There is a lovely flat trail above Indian Ladder also. We plan to cross Rt 157 and walk up a gradual incline to another view from the escarpment. There is an area on that side to look for fossils.
