Downstream Justice and You!

Currently, there is $4.2 billion available for environmental and community projects to protect water quality in New York State (click here for more info) and the Downstream Justice Project hopes to get the Hans Groot Kill onboard.

Over the summer we hope to lay the foundation for each of the Six Circles of Justice – education, direct action, advocacy, witness, community organizing, leadership development. Those of us who have been with the Downstream Justice Project continue to learn about it, the process, what needs to be done and how to go about it.

Where might you be a resource? Where might you want to learn more? Like any project there are leaders, managers and change agents. Take a little time to just be actively curious, then decide where in this project you fit in, or even if.

Please visit us at the Social Justice table on Sundays or at the next Social Justice Action Team meeting Tuesday, June 18, 7pm in the Emerson Room.
