How Does She Do It All? The Story of Aneesa Waheed & Tara Kitchen

March 7 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

The Daytime Alliance invites everyone to enjoy a special lunch buffet of Moroccan food from Tara Kitchen in the UUSS Dining Room on Thursday, March 7 at noon — and to learn how Tara Kitchen founder Aneesa Waheed has built a franchise of six restaurants on two continents and accomplished so much in such a short time.

All are welcome! Luncheon is at 12 noon for $20, payable by cash or check at the door. Aneesa’s program is at 1 pm. Please make your reservations by March 4 to Allison at allisonblackwelllee@gmail.com.

Aneesa Waheed jokes that she reinvents herself every few years. We cannot imagine her ever being bored! This personable wife, mother, Moroccan chef, and entrepreneur started out right here in downtown Schenectady, opening Tara Kitchen, her first restaurant when her daughter was 8 months old. She went on to become a celebrity TV chef, to develop her own award-winning brand of Moroccan sauces available in local grocery stores and on-line, and to expand her franchise by opening popular restaurants in Albany, Troy, NYC, New Jersey, and this January in India! Aneesa has created her own quick and easy recipes for home-cooks and last year came out with her first book, Easy Moroccan Cookbook. Come enjoy some of her delicious food and hear what she has planned for the future.
