Sunday Feb. 4th in Religious Education

This Sunday, February 4, will be quite a busy Sunday for all the families taking part in Religious Education!!

FOR CHILDREN UNDER 5: Per usual, the nursery opens at 10:15.

FOR KINDERGARTNERS AND 1st GRADERS:

  • K/1 OWL kicks off with orientation–for both kids AND guardians! This mandatory session begins at 10:00 a.m. in Dining Room B and should adjourn by noon. Kids will break to the Favorite UU Stories room after an initial joint session with their caregivers. If for some reason you can’t attend but still want your child to participate in OWL, please email dlre@uuschenectady.org as soon as possible.
  • If you are participating in the OWL orientation and have ADDITIONAL kiddos who are NOT in OWL, please drop them off at the nursery between 9:45 and 10:00. They will play a short game there, then will be led across the street to Waters House for Children’s Chapel.
  • Kids enrolled in kindergarten and 1st grade who are not going to participate in OWL, we will have a Children’s Chapel! Please bring your children to the second floor of Waters House just before service in the Great Hall.

FOR 2nd, 3rd, AND 4th GRADERS: Children’s Chapel! Please bring your children to the second floor of Waters House just before service in the Great Hall.

FOR 5th AND 6th GRADERS:

  • 5/6 OWL kicks off with orientation–for both kids AND guardians! This mandatory session begins at 10:00 a.m. in the Windows and Mirrors Room on the second floor of Waters House and should adjourn by noon. Kids will break to another room in Waters House after an initial joint session with their caregivers. If for some reason you can’t attend but still want your child to participate in OWL, please email dlre@uuschenectady.org as soon as possible.

FOR 8th AND 9th GRADERS:

  • 8/9 OWL will continue to meet in Albany. If you need carpool information, email dlre@uuschenectady.org.
  • Kids not enrolled in 8/9 OWL are welcome to join Youth Group in Waters House after the story for all ages during service in the Great Hall.

FOR 10th-12th GRADERS: We’ve got some EXCITING plans to discuss in Youth Group!! These folks should attend service in the Great Hall, then head to Waters House after the story for all ages.

Feb. 18: Faithful Funday, Youth Group (no OWL!).

HELP NEEDED!

Do you enjoy a little bit of improv? How do you feel about awesome stories? Want to influence the next generation? Help your RE program out by choosing a couple of Sundays (just from February through May) to lead (or support a leader of) Spirit Play and/or Children’s Chapel!!
