Last December the Daytime Alliance filled and donated 50 holiday stockings for local children in need. Can we increase that to 75 stockings this year??  Yes, with your help, we are sure we can! We will provide 75 cute stockings. We need items to stuff in the stockings plus people to do the actual stuffing as part of our next meeting, starting at noon with lunch in the church dining room on Thursday, Dec. 7.

Here is the plan: Everyone is invited to donate items to fill stockings for children, ages 3 – 12, whose families visit the SiCM Food Pantry. Bring items with you to church on any Sunday through Dec. 3 and drop them in the box at the back of the Great Hall. Suggested items include: new books & toys, trinkets, stickers, small stuffed animals & dolls, small wheeled toys, crayons & pencils, other craft items, and fidgets. SiCM has also specifically asked for toothbrushes, toothpaste, and children’s winter hats and gloves/mittens. Please think about items for kids of various ages and interests.

Then on Dec. 7, join your UUSS friends of all genders for lunch in the church dining room at 12 noon. We will hear a brief presentation about current SiCM projects from Chinira Lovick. After lunch we will have fun filling the stockings. Lunch is $20 and is being provided by Gershon’s.
