Schenectady’s Award-Winning Rose Garden (EBWA’s June program)
June 15, 2023 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Join EBWA (Evening Branch of the Women’s Alliance) on June 15th at 5 pm for a tour of the Central Park Rose Garden. Our tour will be led by Matt Cuevas, the President of the Rose Garden Restoration Committee. There are three hundred varieties of roses and over four thousand bushes in the garden. The Central Park Rose Garden is one of only eight All American Rose Selection Gardens in New York State. Enter the park directly from Wright Avenue onto Iroquois Way. The rose garden will be on your right, a dog park on the left. Turn left past the dog park and parking will be on the left.
Bring a chair and a bag supper to enjoy together after the tour. There are many picturesque areas in the park for a picnic.
Please contact Gabrielle Reals at ellegr3@gmail.com by June 14th to let her know you are coming. Should there be a rainy day, we will postpone till June 22nd at 5 pm and will send an email notifying you of the change in date early in the afternoon of June 15th. Be sure to check your email that afternoon! All who identify as women are welcome to join us for this fun event.
