The annual UU Weekend at Silver Bay is a gathering of Unitarian Universalists and friends from all over the Upstate New York area. On October 13-15 of this year, UUs and friends will come together to enjoy brilliant fall foliage on beautiful Lake George, while participating in workshops, lectures, hikes, solitary activities, kayaking, disc golf, archery, corn hole, pickle ball, and so much more. The UU Weekend Committee and the staff at Silver Bay are working hard to make sure everyone will be safe and will have fun.

This special weekend is a good time to build and strengthen relationships and nurture spirit, mind, and body. Learn, play, and hang out with UUs and friends from Kingston, Binghamton, the Capital Region, Burlington, the Adirondacks and elsewhere. Bring family and friends to share in these pleasures.

Our keynote speaker is Sheila Hahn. She is an immigration attorney, and the title of her presentation is “Immigrants: Caught in the Political Crossfire”. Gary Hahn will be an additional featured speaker presenting Laughing Matters: The Power of Comedy. The art form of comedy inspires, enlightens, and entertains, while connecting us to each other and to the world around us. Lois Porter from UUSS will lead our Sunday service program. Many other workshops and activities are planned, including such annual favorites as the open mic/talent show, the social & silent auction, hikes, meet and greets and many more.

The cost is all-inclusive. Meals and snacks are provided at Silver Bay’s lovely dining hall from Friday dinner through Sunday lunch. Children aged 5 and under are free and there are substantial discounts for older children and Youth.
