Inclusion-Care-Covenant-Consent
These are the framework guidelines recently published by the UUA with regard to re-opening.

We have been experimenting with small groups meeting outside, masked and distanced, and we are learning important things that we can apply to opening the buildings. Thanks to significant reduction in local cases and high rates of vaccinations, the COVID Prevention and Response Team (CPR team) agrees that we are ready to gently modify these practices while remaining committed to the well-being of those most vulnerable in our community.
This Saturday, we hope you will come by, masked and with flowers for the flower exchange and to drop off a card, check, and/or gift card for our custodial staff Helen and Ed who are ending their service on June 30. Auction items will also be available for pick-up. (Winners were notified by email the evening of the concert and auction…thanks to all who bid!)
If you are feeling safe without a mask, and would like to, it is ok to ask others who are there at the same time, if it would be ok for you to remove yours. If there is shared 100% consent, it is ok to remove masks outside on the church campus. Modifications will continue as needed, in whichever direction is needed, based on cases in the area. Flexibility is going to be a big part of all this
Thanks to the work of the CPR team, we will be making some important announcements later this week about other phases of re-opening. Earlier this year, it was seeming that December might have been an overly optimistic date. But if all the metrics continue to be good, we are hoping for a late September re-opening for in-person worship. Stay tuned, and get vaccinated (if you can)!
With faith,
Rev. Wendy and Rev. Lynn
