Co-Ministers’ Colloquy – August 25th

Your ministers are grateful for some time of renewal and preparation. We have been thinking of everyone in the congregation, as we prepare ourselves and our programs for this very different church year. To those who are in the middle of your own transitions, you are particularly in our hearts and our morning meditations.
We need some spiritual fortitude for all that is happening and all the next several months will ask of us as people of faith. We invite each of you to give yourself permission to take exquisite care of yourself. Set aside some time this week with yourself, and/or with the people you live with, and/or are in your safe ‘pod’ and just spend some time thinking together about the past 167 days or so. What have you noticed? What have you learned about yourself? about your loved ones? about our world? How are you feeling about all of it? And then think about the next month or so. What do you need to be ready for the fall? What does your family need? How might you go about setting aside time each week for a deeper check-in at home or to check-in with friends, extended family, or neighbors if you happen to be in a more grounded place already?
We hope you will collect some water from your summer adventures-whether from your own tap, or a nearby hose, pool, puddle, rainspout, pond, stream, river, lake, or ocean. Then bring it to Waters House either Friday, September 11th or Saturday, September 12th. See below for details. We would love to see you (from a distance) as we all prepare for a new church year together. Sunday, September 13th will be our Water On-gathering via Zoom.
In faith~ Rev. Lynn and Rev. Wendy
