This coming Sunday, 1/13, everyone will begin in the Great Hall and stay
through Story for All Ages. Following SFAA, K/1 Children will follow
their teachers to their Wonderful Welcome classroom in the church
hallway. Grades 2-12 will meet in the church entryway and be led across
the street to their Waters House classrooms.
Sr Youth, please stay after RE this Sunday, have some soup (at the
fundraiser) if you’d like, and join in a Sr Youth activity in Waters
House from 12:30-1:30. Parents and guardians, we hope you’ll stick
around for our monthly parent circle; this week’s circle will meet in
the large classroom on the second floor of Waters House, from
12:30-1:30. Be sure to mark your calendars for the following monthly
activities and parent circles: Sunday, 2/10 and 3/10; each meeting will
run approximately one hour.
If you’re looking for a great opportunity to get to know some fabulous
UU youth and find out what youth “cons” are all about, this is it!
Several of our Sr Youth will be attending a youth “con” (conference)
January 25-27 in Binghamton. They need drivers (age 25+) and are required to
have 2 advisors with them (a 3rd if we have more than 14 youth register)
throughout the weekend. We currently have only one volunteer. There
will be lots of time to chat with and connect with UU youth and
advisors. If you’re able to help our youth out with this con, contact
Director of Lifespan Religious Education Robin Ahearn by Tuesday,
January 22: dlre@uuschenectady.org or (607) 435-2803.
Sr Youth, if you’d like to attend the con, be sure to register by the
1/18 deadline; here’s the link: https://uua.wufoo.com/forms/z1dp3xuf0o64txi/
Parents and guardians of 7/8 and 11/12 OWL participants are welcome to
meet in the Fireplace Room for warmth and connection during OWL
programming times! -Robin Ahearn, Dir. Lifespan Religious Education
