Connecting in spiritual community,
we celebrate life with joy
grow in compassion
Welcome to the Unitarian Universalist Society of Schenectady
We are a liberal religious community, welcoming people of all ages, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities and physical abilities to our inclusive congregation. Our members have many different spiritual beliefs; we are bound, not by a common creed, but by our shared commitment to a religion that celebrates freedom, tolerance and reason. We welcome newcomers to join with us as we worship, sing, play, teach, study, and work for social justice together.

Waiting in the Dark
Rev. Margret A. O’Neall
The nights grow longer, the cold intensifies, and we wait – in a time of Advent, a time of Hanukkah, in the growing dark we await a return of light to our lives. How do we sustain ourselves and each other in times of darkness; how do we nurture the light toward its return?
Music: Matt Kane, fiddle and Sten Isachsen, guitar
Religious Education: The religious education on Sunday, November 29th begins in the worship service and then transitions to a multi age activity for 1st through 5th graders in the RE Hallway. 6th grade and up will stay in the worship service for its entirety.
