It’s Elemental: coming to our senses for grounding in times of uncertainty

How do we function day to day in the world we find ourselves in right now? How do we find balance, equanimity? Ancient and not so ancient people have explored this question of how to live. We’ll explore and experience Elemental theory from the perspective of Ayurveda and the ways our senses can bring us, well, back to our senses. It’s very sensible!

About the guest worship leader: For the past 8 years Melissa has been part of a group in Schenectady growing urban farms and urban farming; attending to regenerative growing practices thru the lens of food justice and food security. Schenectady Urban Farms is currently one of Schenectady Community Ministries’ (SiCM) programs and Melissa serves as Farms Outreach Coordinator. Previously she worked as Director of Religious Education here at UUSS. 

Melissa also has been a student of Yoga for over 35 years and has recently taken up the study of Ayurveda. Both Yoga and Ayurveda are philosophical systems that originated in India over 5000 years ago.
