Braiding Beauty with Grief and Gratitude

In Unitarian Universalism we can learn and act on complex truths of life. Together we practice braiding beauty in the midst of horror, grief in a culture that seldom teaches how to grieve, and gratitude to be open to it all.

Rev. Karen Brammer has been a Unitarian Universalist minister since 1998. She has served as minister for congregations in Maine and New York, and also served as Manager of the Unitarian Universalist Association’s Green Sanctuary Program from 2012 to 2022, and the UUA’s Congregational Life staff for nine years prior to that. In addition to her dedication to congregational well-being and environmental justice, her passion includes ending systemic oppression in collaboration with Black, Indigenous and People of Color as well as people who identify as Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Nonconforming and Transgender.

UUSS worship services are held in-person in the Great Hall, and also online. To join in the worship service online via Zoom, click HERE on Sunday morning.
