DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendars for Saturday\, May 9th\, if you would enjoy BIRDWATCHING with Dan Leonard and the Green Sanctuary team in the Woodlawn Preserve (now called the Schenectady Pine Bush Preserve.) \nThe preserve is off of Albany St. in Schenectady. Turn south onto Gifford from Albany St. to a small parking lot and a sign board with a map of the preserve. There is a small lake with a path around it and a sand hill to climb (optional). \nWe will start at 8 AM or we will miss a lot of birds! \nIf you would like to receive rainy weather plans or be in touch for any reason\, please leave your phone number at the Green Sanctuary table or with Catherine Miller or Paula Shaw. It’s OK to just show up\, as long as you are on time.

SUMMARY:Zentangle: The Art of Meditative Line and Pattern Drawing
DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Linda Fasano\, Certified Zentangle Teacher \nLinda Fassano came to Zentangle (the art of meditative line and pattern drawing) in 2019. During the pandemic\, she joined a weekly Zentangle club via Zoom\, grew to love the art and felt the draw (pun intended!) of Zentangle. Soon thereafter\, she took the seminar to become a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) and hasn’t looked back. As a career educator\, and now a CZT\, Linda loves sharing this fulfilling process and art form. — All who identify as women are invited to join the adventure of learning and exploring Zentangle and becoming an artist in your own right! \nWe will serve coffee\, tea\, and dessert before the program. We urge you to arrive by 6:30 pm for time to socialize before the program begins at 7 pm. Following the presentation\, there will be time for questions. Networking (when each person may share something of interest with the group) will begin around 8:15\, and the meeting will end no later than 9 pm. \nWhile reservations are not required\, in order to have some idea of how many people to expect\, please RSVP by emailing Gabrielle Reals by Tuesday\, May 26\, to let us know you are coming. (If you forget to do this\, we urge you to come anyway!) Those who have subscribed may attend the in-person meetings for free. All others will be asked to contribute $5 toward our costs\, at the door. \nTo see the full calendar of EBWA programs for 2025-2026\, click here. \nLooking ahead: Our June 11th program will be a Field Trip to the Albany Underground Railroad Education Center. Watch Circuits for more information in early June.
