If you have experienced a loss\, whether it be a relationship. a job\, a health change/diagnosis\, a death\, a loss of identity or meaning\, are grieving all that is going on in our country and world\, or something else\, you are welcome. Join local author Sandra Foyt as she discusses her new guidebook\, 100 Things To Do In Albany Before You Die. Sandra will talk about bucket-list must-dos\, insider tips\, and hidden gems. Come prepared to play a fun game with a regional twist\, and to see her award-winning photography of local sites. Sandra is a travel photographer\, freelancer\, and content media producer. She also runs AlbanyTraveler.com\, a local travel blog\, and co-publishes GetawayMavens.com\, the romantic getaways guide.— All who identify as women are invited to join us for this intriguing program! \nRefreshments and time to socialize provided at 6:30. DESCRIPTION:Practice Advocacy at the Storytelling for Justice Workshop! \nOn Sunday\, May 4th from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.\, join the Green Sanctuary Team and the Social Justice Action Team in the Dining Room for a Storytelling for Justice workshop! \nIn these challenging times\, our stories are our power\, and everyone has a story to tell! From healthcare to human rights\, climate to democracy\, a compelling story makes all forms of advocacy more effective\, whether we’re talking with our community or our legislators. \nAt this workshop\, you’ll hear stories and tips and get the chance to practice telling your own story. We’ll also share about how to get involved with upcoming federal and state social and environmental justice actions.
