SUMMARY:Ingathering Water Communion: Get on Board! Then stay for the All Congregation Picnic!
DESCRIPTION:Join UUSS for the annual Unitarian Universalist Ingathering/Water Communion worship service. \nAfter the service\, all are welcome to stay for a potluck picnic. We’ll have tables in the dining room and on the patio\, and lawn games as weather permits. \nDetails:  \nWe’re going to have our annual Ingathering on the second Sunday of September\, Sept 14th. We will celebrate our community and the beginning of a new church year together\, including a Water Communion. \nEveryone is invited to bring a small bit of water from someplace that symbolizes your summer-perhaps a local pond\, a swimming pool\, the ocean\, your own faucet or hose. We will co-mingle the precious water that we collect\, honor the water for its nourishment\, and then purify and prepare the gathered waters to be used in other rituals throughout the year. \nAfter this multigenerational service celebrating Unitarian Universalism and our religious community\, we’ll have a shared meal. Bring a potluck dish to serve 8-12 people and a card with the ingredients as we have several folks with food allergies\, needs\, as well as preferences.
