Co-Ministers’ Colloquy – Jan. 19th

Dear UUSS~
Today we hold a prayer in our hearts for our nation. Whether you use the language of thought, or meditation, intention, or prayer, we invite you to join us.
Spirit of Life, Spirit of Revolutionary Love, on this final day of an administration that has done so much harm, we pray for a peaceful end and a courageous beginning. May the President-elect and Vice President-elect and their families be safe during the inauguration and the days, weeks, months, and years to come.
May those in the National Guard who have been called to protect them and members of Congress, be steadfast, clear-thinking, and committed to safety.
May all those who have caused harm be held accountable so that justice and healing are possible.
Knowing all that is at stake, let us re-commit each day to anti-racism, to kindness, to equity, and to building relationships that will strengthen our communities, our congregation, our families, and our own tender hearts. Salaam, shalom, ashe, namaste, amen, and blessed be.
We note with sorrow that at least two of our UU congregations experienced vandalism over the weekend-State College, PA and Tulsa, OK. We send them care and ask that all of us be vigilant for our values, for life, for truth, and for Love.
