for Niskayuna AFS, began a 32 year volunteer career with AFS Intercultural. In 2002, Cathie was the recipient of the Galatti Award, given annually to a volunteer for outstanding commitment to the mission of AFS to promote international understanding and peace. Cathie also received the Friendship Links Award from the US China US Peoples Friendship Association.
